Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, provide a better user experience, and supply information to website operators.
Facturwise uses three categories of cookies. Essential cookies sign you in and protect your session and are always active. Analytics cookies help us understand which pages and features are used so we can improve the product, and are loaded only if you accept the Analytics category in our cookie banner. Marketing cookies let us measure whether advertising campaigns brought new users to Facturwise, and are loaded only if you accept the Marketing category. You can change your choice at any time via the ‘Cookie preferences’ link in the footer.
The following table describes the cookies used by Facturwise:
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| at | Access token — authenticates your session so you can use the Service without logging in on every page. This is an httpOnly cookie and cannot be accessed by JavaScript. | Strictly Essential | 15 minutes |
| rt | Refresh token — used to issue a new access token when it expires, keeping you logged in without requiring you to re-enter your password. This is an httpOnly cookie and cannot be accessed by JavaScript. | Strictly Essential | 7 days |
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics — distinguishes unique visitors and aggregates site usage so we can improve the product. Loaded only if you accept the Analytics category. | Analytics (optional) | 2 years |
| ahrefs_analytics_* | Ahrefs Web Analytics — measures site traffic patterns in aggregate. Loaded only if you accept the Analytics category. | Analytics (optional) | 1 year |
| _gcl_au | Google Ads — measures whether an advertising campaign brought you to Facturwise (conversion attribution). Loaded only if you accept the Marketing category. | Marketing (optional) | 90 days |
Cookies on Facturwise fall into three categories: essential, analytics, and marketing. Essential cookies cannot be switched off because the Service cannot function without them. Analytics and marketing cookies are off by default and load only after you explicitly accept them via the cookie banner.
You can change your preferences at any time by clicking ‘Cookie preferences’ in the footer. Rejecting analytics and marketing does not affect your ability to use Facturwise.
When you interact with our payment processor Stripe (e.g. during checkout), Stripe sets its own cookies on your device. If you accept the Analytics or Marketing categories, Google (Analytics and Ads) and Ahrefs also set their own cookies. These third-party cookies are governed by each provider’s own privacy and cookie policies. Facturwise does not control them, but you can prevent them from being set in the first place by rejecting the corresponding category in our cookie banner.
You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
Please be aware that blocking or deleting our essential cookies will prevent you from logging in to the Service. If you clear your cookies, you will need to log in again.

Facturwise loads optional analytics and marketing cookies only after explicit consent via our cookie banner. Browsers that send Do Not Track (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals are not currently auto-honored — please use the cookie banner directly to reject non-essential cookies.
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or our operational practices. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
